During negotiations with a client in the petro-chemical industry SÄLZER had a request for a window not only capable of resisting blast loads but also with the ability to withstand airborne debris associated with tropical storm. SÄLZER then embarked on a series of tests on our S6 energy saving windows in accordance with the Australian standards.

The window passed successfully the test.
Because a cyclone is accompanied by strong winds and heavy rains, the previously tested element was afterwards tested according the Australian standard for wind load and water tightness. The resistant values required by the Australian standard (7,500 Pa) are several times higher than the European standard. The requirements for water tightness (773 Pa) were far exceeded with a test result of 2,250 Pa.
