The Sälzer Campus is expanding: in September, the new Competence Centre for high-security was opened in Marburg.
2023
Ballistics test centre is extended to include an exhibition on bullet resistance for our customers and partners.
2022
Sälzer is Schüco and Schüco is Sälzer. The final integration step is complete with the full transfer of business shares.
2018
Sälzer becomes part of Schüco – a leading global supplier of high-quality system technology for windows, doors and façades. The outstanding design expertise and worldwide sales and service network at Schüco, together with the high security expertise of SÄLZER, provide a range of services that is unique in the market.

Completion of the in-house ballistics test centre, where tests can be carried out at any time up to the maximum bullet resistance classes.
Receipt of the "Security Awards" for the fully glazed SECUFIRE® steel tubular frame door, which combines protection against fire and smoke with burglar resistance.

Certification of the management system with regard to occupational health and safety and environmental protection in accordance with the ECOSYS process.
2005
Elke and Walther Sälzer are the third generation to take over the family business.
2000
Customers outside Germany become aware of Sälzer quality, kick-starting the expansion of an international sales network, as well as test and certifications in line with international standards.

The huge expansion of the company means that new premises are required – today's site in in Marburg Ockershausen becomes the new headquarters for high security.

Heinrich Sälzer Junior takes over the established family business after 40 years and starts to develop and produce innovative security products.

Locksmith Heinrich Sälzer Senior takes over the company, producing steel and aluminium garage doors.
