Combined forced entry and bullet resistance
SÄLZER security and ventilation louvre blades are used wherever rooms need to be ventilated but also protected against break-ins and bullets, such as industrial buildings, data processing centres, embassies and other institutions.
SÄLZER offers two tested and certified high-security louvre blade systems:
In accordance with the European standard: Burglar resistance to RC5 in combination with bullet resistance in FB6-NS.
In accordance with the US standard from the Department of State: 5 minutes FE (forced entry) and 60 minutes FE/BR (combined protection against forced entry and ballistic resistance).
Additional protection from wind and rain
Thanks to the arrangement of the steel louvre blades, the SÄLZER ventilation louvre blades provide special protection from the wind and rain. They consist of fixed, horizontal or vertical steel louvre blades that overlap slightly. The arrangement of multiple units means that larger areas can be secured and ventilated. An optional flyscreen can be attached to the inside of the ventilation louvre blades.
Tested for burglar resistance up to RC5 and can be used in emergency exit and escape routes.

Tested as a complete unit in in accordance with DIN EN 1627-1630 up to RC5 and in accordance with the US-Standard of the Department of State: 5 Min. FE and 60 Min. FE/BR.
In accordance with DIN EN 1522-1523 up to FB7-NS, and in accordance with the US-Standard of the US-Department of State: 5 Min. FE and 60 Min. FE/BR.
