SÄLZER get the order by the Jewish community to produce a security guard house for the protection of the new school building and the Ignatz Bubis-community in Frankfurt. The guardhouse was completely financed by the Jewish Community to protect the police officers on duty who guard the area, stated Prof. Leo Latasch, head of the security department of the Jewish Community board. The SÄLZER security guardhouse does not only offer protection against different types of threats, but is also equipped for example with the latest heating and air conditioning technology. On 27.10.2020 the Jewish Community board officially handed over the security guardhouse to the Frankfurt police. The responsible officer in charge of the Frankfurt police force, Michael Berge, expressed his pleasure about the many functions: "It provides protection in case of an exchange of fire and the officers can concentrate much better on their tasks because they are not distracted by heat, storm or rain".

International Security Expo 2019SÄLZER was represented again at the 'International Security Expo 2019' in London on 3.-4. December. Our technical manager, Elke Sälzer, and Chris Carwardine, sales colleague from GB, presented our high security products. On display was our aluminium facade (combined protection: forced entry resistant up to RC5, bullet resistant up to FB7-NS, blast resistant up to 500kg explosive load) with 3 integrated windows: the outward opening top-hung window series S6es, our SECURON®window, which is forced entry resistant up to RC3 even in tilted window position, as well as a high security window series S2es. Our 2nd exhibit in stainless steel, a forced entry and bullet resistant transaction window with integrated exchange drawer, also attracted attention. In addition to the forced entry and bullet resistance (RC5, FB7-NS), the element also offers protection against fire (T30/EI30).

Architektenschulung 2019Karlheinz Mankel and Volker Massmann presented the product developments of SÄLZER at the well-attended architect training cources with the topic "combined protection, innovations & individual design" in Cologne on the 5.11. and in Munich on 7.11. In a ‘forced entry test’ at a small door sample the problem between forced entry resistance and the 'panic function' was showed and discussed in detail. The training was approved by the chamber of architects in NRW as advanced training. Special training courses for architects together with Schüco-Jansen, Assa Abloy, Axis and Wetag & Getalit are also planned for 2020.
